Fall Coll Choice Cloud Nine Review

This model truly lives up to its name-Cloud Nine is a gorgeous red chestnut pinto that is performing the piaffe, a difficult dressage routine. The model is very elegant and looks great wherever you decide to put it. Its coloring is very rich and has beautiful shading.

One thing I must mention though, he does require a stand to stay balanced (you'll get the stand with the horse, of course). Because of this, he's more of a display model than a play model. That being said, he looks quite durable with the exception of his ears and tail. They look to be a tad fragile and may break if played with too roughly.

All in all, a beautiful, elegant model that will be a great addition to anyone's herd.

Ford F350 Hi-Lift Kit Review

I own two of these. They are fun to build, and even better to play with.

The transmission is a 3 speed. First gear is very slow. Second is a faster. Third gear is my favorite and most fun because it is quite quick, yet still has enough torque to climb anything.

You can also lock the axles for full time 4 wheel drive, which I did.

This is a very reliable truck and it is very hard to break. I have only broken it once, only because someone crashed a very fast car into it.

Make sure you use liquid thread lock, which is supplied in the kit, on all the metal pieces that can come loose and fall out.

The leaf springs will get bent out of shape a lot.

Overall, this is a great truck. It will climb almost anything. You can take it sand, mud, snow, water (you have to waterproof the electronics though) and almost never get stuck. The ground clearance isn't so great, so it will get stuck on sticks or very tall grass.

You can beat this truck into the ground and it will keep on running strong. It will provide many years of entertainment.

For the inexperienced, beware. You need to buy paint, and paint the body. You also need to buy one servo for shifting, one servo for steering, you'll need at least a three channel radio controller, a battery charger and battery etc.

It can be become quite expensive, but in my opinion, it is worth it. If you buy your kids those cheap RC cars from Toys R US, save your time and money, and buy something professional quality like this.

I wish someone bought me a quality RC car like this when I was a kid. I went through so many toy quality cars that always broke, and couldn't drive well.

Geomag Magnetic Challenge Review

As a board game only, this product is not something I'd recommend. However, if you're already a fan of GeoMag (and I definitely recommend GeoMag over magnetix based on quality alone), this is an excellent addition to your collection.

The game is fun enough, but the game board is an excellent base for simply building on. It's well constructed and thought out. It's not just a flat piece of ferrous metal.

Nice enough, but for hardcore GeoMag fans only.

Grasshopper 2WD Off Road Kit Review

I always wanted to own and build this buggy car since I was a kid, and thanks to this re-release version, finally I had a chance to fulfill my childhood dream.

Somewhat confusingly on a side of the box, it lists ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) as a "SEPARATELY REQUIRED ITEM" (in pictures), but on the left side description (20 items listed), it says ESC is included. Luckily, I found that an
ESC (TEU-105BK) was included.

Building the kit was straight forward, but surprisingly, it took quite some time for me to construct the tire sets. Placing decals was also very easy because unlike my previous TT-01E experience each decal is already pre-cut, so there is no need to use a scissor and a model knife.

Indeed, the performance of this RC car with an old 380-type stock motor is quite slow, compared TT-01 (540), but it is still fun to drive. One thing that let me down was that I expected this buggy car could easily run on grass, however it was rather struggling or most of the time it got stuck, just spinning wheels. I guess you need a truck type RC car to enjoy such terrain.
