Ah, Ayane. The other poster girl for the Dead or Alive series and Kasumi's little sis--um, did I say little? She's huge! Wow!

So yes, Ayane is Kasumi's little sister (I wrote a review for Kasumi earlier). Those two have a rather complicated relationship, with Ayane wanting her sister dead, but then saving her life later and starting to...you know what? Go look it up. It's complicated.

She's also from the Dead or Alive fighting game franchise, although this version of her is from the Ninja Gaiden series, a spin-off of Dead or Alive. Let's talk about her size first. Most of these statues come as a 1/8 scale model, but not this one. This is a 1/6, which means it's going to tower over your other models--if you have any. It's rather impressive actually, although I'm going to have to do some rearranging to fit her where I planned to put her. Her hair is detailed down the each strand and her outfit is spot-on from the video game. She comes with the black stand you see in the picture and it can be a bit of chore to get her on it. Still, she's so sturdy that, as long as you don't start trying to bend stuff, you'll be able to get her on it no problem.
The box says that she comes with a ninja accessory, but I sure couldn't find anything. Then again, she doesn't have any accessories in the game to begin with, so I think it might just be a typo--or it's referring to the gauntlets and shin guards that she's wearing. She also comes with her hood, which is detailed impressively as well. I wonder what it could have looked like if they made her have her hood up, but I think this is a better look for her.

Education--okay kids, go figure out what the kanji is on Ayane's chest. You can learn Japanese.

I cannot stress the level of detail that went into this figure. It is truly mind blowing. Normally I find a little thing here or there that I mention, but this is truly stunning. It even has the kanji (I think that's what it is) on the front of her outfit.
So yes, if you are a fan of Dead or Alive or the Ninja Gaiden series, this is a must-buy. It's rather hard to track down, but it's well worth it if you can find it. Ayane may be the little sister, but since her statue is bigger than Kasumi's, she's going to be the taller of the two.
