I've got a lot of swords in my collection, but the swords from The Princess Bride are the first "replicas" I've gotten. The Princess Bride has always been one of my favorite movies, so while these aren't of the same quality as my other swords, I didn't expect them to be, since they're replicas of a movie prop.

I got both swords, but unfortunately the source I purchased them from didn't include the hangers - so while I was able to easily recreate two for the Dread Pirate Roberts sword using a cut up wire coat hanger carefully bent, I haven't found a good solution for Inigo Montoya's yet due to the basket around the hilt - it precludes straight, even hooks from holding it properly. Factory Entertainment cannot or will not sell the hooks separately.

Sword feels good in the hand, and unlike the Inigo sword, there's no parts wrapped with printed paper to give "detail" but just the wrapped hilt and the metal from the guard and blade. The scabbard isn't straight without the sword, but lines up properly if you put the sword in it.

The only two swords in my collection that aren't true swords, but they're the pride of my collection nonetheless. Everyone comments on them, and I'm amazed at how many people recognize them.

For any fan of the Princess Bride, its' a great memento.
