My three kids, ages 2, 3, and 8, all play with this car and love it.
Pros:
The added features (lights, sirens, police scanner) are fantastic, realistic, and fun. And the light that indicates the battery power level is nice for mom and dad!
The car is sturdy, powerful, and beautiful. On high speed, can make it over almost any bump, even while driving up a hill.
The kids can't get enough of it. A little pricey, but worth it.
The battery lasts a decent amount of time when fully charged - they play with it every day for at least a hour straight and it lasts almost a week that way. however, it is recommended that you do not let the battery run out before you recharge. recharge after every use for max performance.
Cons:
Seatbelts would be nice - my 2 year old rides shotgun when the 3 year old is driving, and there is so much room in the seat that the little one gets tossed around going over bumps and running into stuff.
The doors are difficult to open and close; possibly a safety feature, but if that's the case, then why no seatbelts?
The number one con: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT BATTERY CHARGER. Do NOT lose yours!!! Ours was misplaced, and I spent at least 3 hours searching the internet for a replacement, which cost about 44 bucks. None of the stores (online or otherwise) that sell this car sell a replacement charger, which seems kind of asinine to me. I sifted through endless websites with discussions on the topic of finding a replacement charger, modifying other chargers to fit, and selling every kind of 12v battery and charger under the sun except this one. I finally found one at [...]. It was all quite annoying.
Despite that, overall, we love this car and would recommend it.
