Inspired by the minimalist masterpieces of Paul Rudolph and Tadao Ando, Dylan House features a concrete-and-glass feel, but with the breezy openness of a beachfront home. Floor-to-ceiling windows open to allow natural light into the house and play from many angles. The Dylan House has five living spaces on three levels: living room/dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and roof patio. Dylan House is created in 3/4" scale.

Brinca Dada Dylan House Review

I want to love Brinca Dada's Dylan House. It is beautiful and modern and playful. It is the antidote to the more typically saccharine dollhouses out there. And yet, it is oh so poorly made for kids. During installation it quickly became clear how unsturdy it was. The stairs were tethered to the house by a small wooden peg in the floor (and none above). The window-doors were wobbly and made of some sort of press board so that when affixed the roof began to split. Within two days of play, one of the window-doors had popped off and we are waiting for the second to do the same. It is still fun to play with, but the quality is disappointing given the high end billing given by the brand. We would have been better off going with a solid wooden dollhouse.

Bottom line, it would be fabulous for someone who loves to make model houses or an adult who loves modern design and wants it for display, or for an older kid (ten and up) who know how to be very very delicate with her toys. This is why I gave it three stars. It is NOT suitable for younger kids. I do wish it were constructed better because it is such a great design and that more attention were given to making it a PLAY house as opposed to a model house.

UPDATE: Three weeks in and the other window/door has also fallen off. Another crack has appeared in the walls. This thing is junk. Do not waste your money!!!!
