I didn't used to be a fan of Green Arrow. Not sure why really. But as I fell in love with Black Canary, he obviously was in the stories more and more. LOL Eventually when they got their own series, and after reading Kevin Smith's masterpiece (Green Arrow: Quiver (Book 1)), Green Arrow started to grow on me. Once I started playing Dc Universe Online, I decided to start collecting these statues. (DC Universe Online Collector's Edition) I have a neat little thing I do in my library. Whatever collection of books I have on whichever shelf, I have statues of those characters in front of the books. So my Green Arrow collection has this Green Arrow statue in front of it. And it's gorgeous.
So okay, down to the business of the review. Once I saw that darn bow when I opened the box, I was TERRIFIED I was going to break it. It's very small and fragile, and it uses actual string for the bow. But the statue is packed so well that you'd have to drop kick it into a brick wall to get it to break. The ONLY way you're breaking that bow is if you're Mr. or Ms. Clumsy-Fingers when opening the box and removing the statue. LOL It is well wrapped, and unwraps easily once it comes out of the box. And viola, I had my statue. It really is a beautiful statue, and if you're a Green Arrow fan, then I think this item is a must have. It's also a good sized statue for the price. It is VERY limited edition, so I recommend you buy it now before the price skyrockets. To that note, these items ALWAYS skyrocket in price. They're limited edition, as I said, and are therefore a GREAT investment. I've got Wonder Woman statues that I paid 100 bucks for and are now worth 10 to 20 times that. So yeah, you're definitely getting a bang for your buck here.
